October 10, 2002
MINNEAPOLIS -- Teledigital, a wholly owned subsidiary of XOX Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: XOXC) announces an alliance with Audiovox Corporation (NASDAQ: VOXX), Hauppauge, N.Y. Audiovox, the nation's third largest manufacturer of cellular phone handsets, will now include Teledigital's patented prepaid cellular software in select models of its digital cellular phones. "This alliance gives Teledigital a powerful brand name to leverage in the marketplace," says Dick Barnaby, president and CEO of XOX and Teledigital. "Audiovox is a recognized leader in cellular phones, offering cutting-edge technology and all of today's popular features like text messaging and Caller ID." Under this alliance, Teledigital will sell Audiovox digital cellular phones to its growing distribution network of prepaid cellular suppliers. This network includes cellular carriers, resellers and dealers such as cellular stores and other retail outlets. Teledigital can customize prepaid calling programs and related services based on each distributor's unique needs, offering phone cards, discounted wholesale airtime and now Audiovox handsets. Teledigital's patented Atlas software enables "carrier-emulated billing" -- the pricing structure commonly used by cellular carriers for postpaid cellular phones, where available airtime and rates vary based on day and time.
