Dave Potts named executive VP and CFO; ex-CFO Larry Margolis becomes EVP of strategic planning and administration and chief counsel

DULUTH, Ga. -- ARRIS (Nasdaq: ARRS) today announced that Dave Potts has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Former ARRIS CFO, Larry Margolis, has been named Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning, Administration and Chief Counsel.
"This realignment reflects the growing complexity and importance of our various administrative functions, as well as the outstanding achievements and talent we are privileged to have among our senior officers," said ARRIS Chairman and CEO Bob Stanzione, on making the announcement.
Mr. Margolis will continue to head up Strategic Planning, Human Resources, Investor Relations and Legal affairs and Mr. Potts will continue to head up the Company's Finance and IT departments. Mr. Potts will continue to be ARRIS' Chief Information Officer.
Mr. Potts joined ARRIS Interactive L.L.C. as that company's CFO in 1995. He became Senior VP, Finance and CIO when ARRIS Interactive and ANTEC joined to form ARRIS International, Inc. in August 2001. Prior to joining ARRIS, Potts spent 11 years at Nortel Networks, where he served in a variety of senior management positions, including VP and CFO of Bell Northern Research, and VP, Mergers and Acquisitions. Previously, Potts worked at Touche, Ross & Co. in Toronto.
Potts holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Lakehead University in Canada and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada.
