SAN FRANCISCO -- Aligo, a global leader in mobile business solutions, reported 500% revenue growth in the first half of 2003 over 1H 2002, the addition of 200,000 new users, 24 new customers and increased growth and recognition tied to its burgeoning partnership with Sun Microsystems. The combination of its sales and deployment successes, as well as wireless leadership ranking from trade and business organization this year, backs Aligo's claim as the mobile solution leader.

Aligo's 24 new customers include ChoicePoint, Indiana University, Open Technologies, City of Nagahama and Fuji Xerox System Services. In addition, the company attracted two new Japanese partners, NTI (a joint venture of NTT and Itochu) and Kanematsu Communications; as well as a partnership with Morse PLC, one of the largest systems integrators in Europe.

The company continues to build on its successful relationship with Sun, which began integrating Aligo's technology into its Sun ONE software products in late 2002. As part of Sun's recently unveiled Business Mobility Initiative, Sun ONE customers now have access to Aligo's suite of mobile enterprise applications, including mobile groupware, sales force and field service solutions. In addition, through its relationship with Sun, Lucent Technologies has also adopted Aligo's end-to-end Java platform as part of its new XEMO (Extended Enterprise Mobile Office) solution for mobile workers.

In the Asia-Pacific region, Aligo is expanding its customer base in Japan, after opening and staffing a regional office in Tokyo earlier this year. Through its numerous distribution agreements with Asian companies such as Fuji Electric and TechMatrix, Aligo is continuing to rapidly expand the base of customers using its award-winning M-1 Mobile Application Server and M-1 Mobile Access for Groupware, such as the City of Nagahama, Japan, with 60,000 users.

"As enterprises recognize and leverage the advantages of multiple mobile applications, Aligo stands out as the strongest overall technology and business solution," said Robert Smith, president and CEO of Aligo. "Our offerings are having bottom-line impact already to those companies out in front of the curve."
