Telenor subsidiary Promonte offering high-speed IP services across country

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Airspan Networks, Inc. (NasdaqGM:AIRN - News), a leading provider of WiMAX-based broadband wireless access networks, announces that Comarch, a global IT business solutions provider and systems integrator, has selected Airspan's WiMAX solution for a high-speed WiMAX network deployment by Promonte, a subsidiary of Telenor and the largest mobile operator in Montenegro.

Comarch and Promonte plan a country-wide WiMAX deployment to provide Montenegrin businesses with high-quality IP services, delivered through Airspan's flexible and easy-to-install subscriber terminals. The first phase of deployment includes 10 Airspan base stations already installed in the major cities of Montenegro (Podgorica and the largest holiday resorts), with immediate plans to continue the deployment with additional base stations throughout the country.
