October 10, 2005
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- AirMagnet, Inc., the leader in wireless LAN (WLAN) security and performance solutions, today announced a partnership with leading technology products and services provider CDW to sell AirMagnet's mobile wireless security products through its Web site and catalog. As part of the agreement, AirMagnet's popular Laptop Analyzer purchased by more than 3,500 organizations to date will headline the enterprise wireless security section of the CDW catalog's November issue. The CDW catalog reaches an audience of more than 250,000 business, government and education executives each month.
CDW will distribute AirMagnet's entire line of portable wireless LAN troubleshooting tools through their catalog, including:
AirMagnet Laptop Analyzer: The gold standard for stand-alone wireless analysis, AirMagnet Laptop's latest version adds integrated reporting and expanded Voice-over-Wireless LAN (Vo-Fi) quality assurance tools to its 130+ security and performance alarms.
AirMagnet Handheld Analyzer: With the ability to automatically detect 100 wireless security, performance, and configuration problems, the AirMagnet Handheld Analyzer features most of Laptop's wireless analysis and management capabilities into a highly mobile handheld device.
AirMagnet Surveyor: Surveyor gathers critical RF information from wireless networks using multiple data collection methods. The software generates detailed maps of the results for easy network deployment, provisioning and optimization, making it ideal for network managers who set up their own wireless LANs and routinely perform their own site surveys.
AirMagnet Spectrum Analyzer: AirMagnet Spectrum Analyzer is able to identify and locate specific sources of RF interference in all Wi-Fi bands, while providing more specific analysis than traditional spectrum analyzers by classifying and graphing interference. The ideal complement to AirMagnet Laptop Analyzer, the Spectrum Analyzer operates on a laptop platform, rather than requiring additional proprietary hardware.
"As Wi-Fi hits the corporate and consumer mainstream, effective wireless troubleshooting is a necessity for organizations of all shapes and sizes," said Dean Au, president and CEO of AirMagnet. "CDW's broad audience and sterling reputation for quality technology products will help us reach organizations that depend on secure and reliable wireless networks as a critical part of their operations."
