SUNNYVALE, Calif. and WALTHAM, Mass. -- AirMagnet, Inc., the leader in wireless LAN (WLAN) security and performance solutions, and Colubris Networks, a leading global provider of MultiService WLAN solutions, today announced an agreement to integrate AirMagnet's award-winning AirMagnet(TM) Enterprise software into the Colubris Intelligent MultiService System (CIMS) -- which is comprised of the InCharge(TM) centralized management system, the InMotion(TM) family of services controllers and the InReach(TM) family of multiservice access points (MAPs).
Trusted by more than 3,000 corporate customers including 66 of the Fortune 100, AirMagnet provides the industry's most complete intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS), including location-based rogue tracing, and identifies more than 130 security and performance threats. AirMagnet Enterprise also monitors network health and performance, provides wireless and wired-side blocking to prevent intruders from accessing the network, and ensures the overall reliability of the network.
AirMagnet's AirWISE technology, which scales to larger networks and detects more kinds of wireless intrusions than any other product, is at the heart of its Enterprise solution. The AirWISE technology is being integrated into Colubris' InReach family of multiservice access points and will, along with the integration of the AirMagnet Enterprise server software into other elements of the Colubris CIMS system, provide customers with a best-of-breed, turnkey solution that enables network administrators to remotely troubleshoot their wireless networks. By building AirMagnet's market-leading intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS) into Colubris' multiservice architecture, the two companies are delivering the next generation of fully secured, massively scalable, integrated wireless infrastructure.
The integrated solution will be available from Colubris Networks in Q3 2005. It will be demonstrated publicly for the first time at NetWorld+Interop 2005, in Las Vegas, May 3-5, 2005.
