ATLANTA -- AirDefense, the innovator that launched the wireless LAN security market, today announced that it has settled its trade secrets misappropriation lawsuit against AirTight Networks. In November 2005, AirDefense sued AirTight Networks for wrongfully obtaining and using proprietary, confidential, commercially sensitive and trade secret information of AirDefense including AirDefense customer and prospects lists, marketing materials, pricing tools and quotations.
AirDefense's lawsuit was based, in part, on sworn declaration testimony from an ex-employee of AirTight Networks who testified about AirTight Networks' knowingly obtaining and using AirDefense's trade secrets. The declaration further describes the highly questionable practices AirTight Networks employed in its efforts to tamper with AirDefense's customers and potential customers and to compete with information gained in breach of former employee contracts with AirDefense.
