ADC to provide fiber connectivity equipment for Visionstream's Nextgen Networks project

MINNEAPOLIS -- ADC (Nasdaq:ADCT; www.adc.com) a leading global supplier of fibre optics, network equipment, software and integration services for broadband, multiservice networks, today announced that Visionstream has selected ADC to provide equipment for its Nextgen Networks project. Nextgen Networks, a recently licensed telecommunications carrier, has contracted Visionstream to install nearly 8500 kilometers of fibre - from Brisbane to Perth - using the latest dense wave division multiplexing (DWDM) technology.Under terms of the agreement, ADC will provide fibre connectivity equipment including its Next Generation Frame (NGF) and OMX fibre termination and splicing solutions. In addition, ADC will supply its FiberGuide® fibre raceway system for the Nextgen project. The installation will proceed through 2011."ADC's products will enable Visionstream to install its network efficiently and provide the capacity for high-speed communication services to communities and businesses throughout Australia," said Sandra McWilliams for ADC.
