MINNEAPOLIS -- ADC (NASDAQ: ADCT) (www.adc.com) today announced that it will display key products from its IP-RAN solutions portfolio at the PCIA Wireless Infrastructure Show, October 13-14 at the Westin Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, Florida, Booth 301. In addition, ADC management will participate in several panel discussions on industry standards and developments.

ADC is highlighting solutions that enable network migration from voice-centric services to next generation data and video services. The company’s wireless products displayed at the show include:

  • FlexWave™ Universal Radio Head (URH), a next-generation radio head designed to deliver 2G, 3G, and 4G coverage in dense urban, suburban or large public venues. The URH improves coverage and capacity by extending services from existing cell sites, to hard-to-reach areas by distributing coverage from a centralized radio suite supporting microcell architectures to increase network coverage and capacity. A new compact model of the URH will be featured at the show that provides the same functionality as the current URH product in a lighter, smaller chassis.

  • InterReach Fusion® in-building cellular systems, true multi-band systems that provide state-of-the-art in-building wireless coverage and capacity for campus environments and areas greater than 250,000 square feet. Highly economical and remarkably easy to maintain, this solution's advanced configuration options are ideal for mobile operators deploying multi-band spectrum in-building solutions while providing seamless coverage within buildings to support ubiquitous mobile wireless demands.

  • FlexWave™ Millimeter Wave (MMW), which enables the rapid deployment of trouble-free Gigabit Ethernet links among buildings on campuses or in urban areas. This licensed wireless point-to-point Gigabit Ethernet transmission system provides 1.25Gbps full duplex transport capacity with fiber equivalent performance, reliability, and security but without the high deployment costs associated with outdoor fiber installations.

ADC also will participate in three panel discussions at the show:

  • Tony Lefebvre, director of product management for Outdoor Wireless Solutions, will participate in a discussion about “WiMAX and LTE Deployment: Flexible Infrastructure Strategies” on Monday, Oct. 13, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

  • Larry Fischer, director of research for wireless solutions, will serve on the panel “Open Base Station Architecture: Can Standardization Enable True Innovation” on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1:30 to 2:45 p.m.

  • Rick Good, program manager for the FlexWave URH portfolio, will participate on the panel “DAS Compliance with Federal Regulations” on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 4:30 to 5:45 p.m.

“ADC is committed to delivering a broad portfolio of solutions that enable wireless carriers to cost-effectively deliver current and future mobile services with outstanding performance, ease of management, and investment protection,” said Hilton Nicholson, president of the Network Solutions Business Unit for ADC. “Our comprehensive, IP-based approach to mobile service infrastructure helps carriers realize the promise of providing high-quality connections to any user on any device located anywhere.”
