Actelis Networks promotes founder and president Tuvia Barlev to CEO spot, as it prepares to launch MetaLIGHT product

FREMONT, Calif. -- Actelis Networks, the first company to enable fiber-quality transport services over local loop copper, announced today that it has promoted co-founder and president, Tuvia Barlev to the position of chief executive officer (CEO). Barlev co-founded the company in 1998 and led the company's engineering team through its initial product design, planning, and staffing phases. "Tuvia will guide Actelis into a leadership position in the emerging market for broadband and Ethernet services over copper" said Kamran Elahian, chairman of the board and co-founder of Actelis Networks. "Actelis has a unique value proposition, suited to the current tough telecom environment. By delivering fiber-quality services over existing copper plant, service providers can improve their customer revenues and satisfaction with minimal capital investment and reduced risk." "With active customer trials concluding, Actelis is ready to begin its next growth phase with the worldwide deployment of MetaLIGHT solutions." said Tuvia Barlev, chief executive officer of Actelis Networks, Inc., "As CEO, my initial focus will be to strengthen Actelis' global sales and marketing team and to broaden the reach of our technology to drive our revenue growth." Prior to co-founding Actelis Networks, Inc. in 1998, Barlev was head of the R&D organization at Teledata, a high-speed communications company, where he led the DLC R&D department. Previously, Barlev held top management positions in government research organizations as head of several elite communications projects.
