Third funding round led by Amerindo Investment Advisors and original investors, Mayfield and Worldview Technology Partners

FREMONT, Calif. -- 3PARdata, the Carrier-Class storage company that will enable information intensive organizations to consolidate and centralize their information assets so that they can be exploited to their full potential, announced today that it has secured $100 million in third-round financing from its strategic business partners, its international partners and the financial community. The round was led by Amerindo Investment Advisors and 3PARdata's original investors, Mayfield and Worldview Technology Partners, who participated for the third time. Key strategic investors included Sun Microsystems and VERITAS Software, and Oracle Corporation, which invested for the second time. International partners from the strategic Japanese market included Net One Systems, Nissho Electronics and Intec IT Capital. Financial investors included Anshutz Investment, Aurora Technology Fund, Dain Rauscher Wessels, iGlobe Partners Fund, Merrill Lynch, Mitsubishi Capital Financial Services, Mitsubishi International, Thomas Weisel Partners and Van Wagoner Capital Management."3PARdata's Carrier-Class storage servers will provide an optimized solution wherever organizations wish to share access to information across the enterprise to improve strategic decision making or wish to share storage assets efficiently and securely between multiple customers," commented David Scott, President and CEO of 3PARdata, Inc.
