Re: Ericsson's View on Transformation kq4ym, I agree.  And I believe someone will fill that space with what will become an "obvious" solution.  I am with you, it needs to be elegant simplicity - the most difficult but most effective solution; and one that disrupts the technology designs in the other complex models.

Re: Ericsson's View on Transformation Interesting how with the "tremendous transformation" that a simple solutiion has not arrive for the immediate future. With his prediction of 90% of the world over age 6 using mobile soon, it would seem there has to be a nice elegant solution that can take over the looming tasks needed for success.

Re: Ericsson's View on Transformation Steve, fascinating interview and great perspective on the industry.

A couple of highlights from my perspective include:

- truly recognizing that it is a "transformation"

- reviewing the slow adaptation of SDN and NFV

- recognizing the reality of "platforms"

And I found very interesting the final comments on over-complicating the solutions and, as he said, possibly over-engineering.  I am wondering if someone won't recognize this and deliver a simple solution that takes off and opens up the market (ie Apple model) and disrupt the complicated designs?
