BroadStream CEO Bolts

5:30 PM -- Broadstream's got a new boss.

From the Philter's email bag, a note from the always candid Anthony Bontrager, former CEO of BroadStream Communications Inc. :

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I am writing to inform you that as of March 31st I have left my post as President and CEO of BroadStream.

Starting and growing a company in today’s environment is never an easy task, yet the last 3-plus years at Broadstream have been the most challenging and satisfying of my professional career. My decision to leave the company ultimately stemmed from diverging visions of where the company should go and my interest in seeking new challenges elsewhere at the intersection of media and communications.

Looking back, I’m extremely proud of the many industry-firsts that Broadstream has accomplished under my leadership; from its unique product offering, large IP-content library, Tier-1 alliance partners and without question, its customers. Broadstream’s Product and Sales teams have worked tirelessly these past few years to bring to market a compelling set of services and I can’t think of a harder working group of people...

In closing, I’m looking forward to my next professional challenge as I consider a number of opportunities in and around the IPTV marketplace. In the meantime, I get to spend more time with my family and less time in an airport...
