Matts Johansen has been appointed new Group EVP in charge of sales and marketing of the biotechnology company Aker BioMarine

OSLO -- Matts Johansen (32) has been appointed new Group EVP in charge of sales and marketing of the biotechnology company Aker BioMarine. Mr.

Johansen will join Aker BioMarine this fall.

"Aker BioMarine is moving ahead aggressively. We are strengthening our team by adding a young executive who has an impressive track record in international sales and marketing," says Aker BioMarine President and CEO Hallvard Muri.

Matts Johansen joins Aker BioMarine from his current position as Chief marketing Officer/Chief Commercial officer of Telefonica O2 in the Czech Republic. He has held executive positions at the telecommunications company since April 2005. Mr. Johansen, whose professional experience includes strategic management, operations, and project execution, was educated at Oslo University College and Columbia University in New York.

At Aker BioMarine, Matts Johansen will be in charge of the company's two brand names: Superba Krill(TM) dietary supplements and Qrill(TM) feed ingredients.

"We are unifying all sales and marketing activities in a single, department," CEO Muri says. "Our Qrill krill meal is already being sold to customers in more than 20 countries. Sales of our Superba dietary supplement have begun in the United States, and additional launches are pending in several international markets."
