BroadLight has partnered with OpenCon Systems to deliver GPON silicon with advanced OMCI capabilities for the ONT and ONU

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- BroadLight, the leading supplier of GPON semiconductors and software, today announced that it has partnered with OpenCon Systems to deliver the first field-proven GPON silicon with advanced OMCI capabilities for the ONT and ONU. BroadLight’s GPON silicon and OpenCon’s OMCI management software and vast experience in management protocols will enable customers to quickly add and customize OMCI capabilities into their products.

BroadLight silicon and OpenCon’s OMCI management stacks have been thoroughly tested to consistently meet ITU-T G.984.4. This comprehensive solution has been deployed and is servicing triple-play customers in live networks worldwide.
