HANOVER, Germany -- The Broadband World Forum Europe is one of the telecommunications industry's most important congress fairs. At the event, KEYMILE will be presenting its latest developments for the access network on stand 361. One of KEYMILE's focuses will be the smooth migration to the Next-Generation Network using MileGate, the Multi-Service access platform. KEYMILE will also show how MileGate is used in FTTx network architectures. The new functions enhance MileGate's capacities and scope for usage and simplify the provision of services via copper and fibre optics from a single network element.

MileGate is KEYMILE's solution for convenient and gradual migration to the NGN. With hybrid architecture, the Multi-Service access platform supports TDM and Ethernet and also provides traditional and IP services in one single network element at the same time. Other functions, such as Voice-Media gateways and Circuit-Emulation-over-Packet, enable smooth transition to Ethernet/IP.

At the Broadband World Forum, KEYMILE will premier a new high efficiency VDSL2 card with a greater number of ports for Fibre-to-the-Curb applications (FTTC). It improves the provision of triple play services for residential customers, such as broadband Internet, Voice-over-IP (VoIP), Video-on-Demand and IPTV from a single street cabinet.
