MILPITAS, Calif. -- JDSU (Nasdaq:JDSU; TSX: JDU) today introduced the Optical Component Environmental TestSystem (OCETS) Plus for optical component qualification testing, includingthe industry's first large-scale automated test system capable ofrepeatable return loss measurements up to 70dB. OCETS Plus will be ondisplay next week at OFC 2007 in Anaheim, California, March 27-29 (hall C,booth 2425).

JDSU's innovative test and measurement solutions like OCETS Plus arecritical to system production and qualification of FTTx components.

With over 420 test ports now supported (more than double earlierversions), OCETS Plus runs on JDSU EasyOCETS software that enablesstreamlined test set-up, monitoring, graphing, and database interfacing ofup to twelve 32-port PON splitters. With EasyOCETS software, testconfiguration times are reduced from hours to minutes, allowing lab staffto focus on test results rather than configuring and maintaining the testsystem. An option to integrate the JDSU T-BERD 8000's high-performance VLROTDR module further reduces device load times and removes the need forcostly splicing.

"An effective FTTx network infrastructure requires test support fromcomponent level qualification testing through network service assurance,"said Enzo DiLuigi, general manager of JDSU's Fiber Optics CommunicationsTest and Measurement group. "With the enhancements available via OCETSPlus, JDSU is the only test and measurement provider that validates thereliability of FTTx networks from beginning to end."
