WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah -- The Utah Telecommunication Open Infrastructure Agency ("UTOPIA") announced that Fibernet Corp., a diversified Internet service company, has inaugurated services on UTOPIA's Open Service Provider Model network. Fibernet will provide a full range of Internet services to corporate clients over the network, leveraging the ultra-broadband capacity of UTOPIA's fiber-optic network.

"We are proud to serve many of the companies that are driving Utah's resilient economy, and they are hungry for the kind of bandwidth UTOPIA's fiber-to-the-premises network offers," said Lee Livingston, Chief Financial Officer of Fibernet. "UTOPIA enables us to cost-effectively provide our customers with virtually unlimited bandwidth over a carrier-class network. This will add significant value to our co-location, web hosting and other Internet services," he added.
