BBWF 2010: Top Storrie

4:00 AM -- PARIS -- Broadband World Forum 2010 -- There's the usual line-up of big-name keynote speakers here in Paris this week, but the session to check out if you're in Paris for the show is on Tuesday at 12.40pm.

The session is called "Implementing an NBN: Experience from the Field," and will be given by David Storrie, the CEO of Nucleus Connect Pte Ltd. , the company that has built the active portion of the high-speed broadband network being shared by several retail service providers in Singapore. (See Nucleus Connect Launches, Singapore Slings for AlcaLu, Huawei, and Singapore Makes FTTH Strides .)

Why is this session worth attending? Because Storrie has been through the rigors of designing and building an open, shared infrastructure (a model that's likely to become more popular as the years go on), and because he tells it like it is. He doesn't do marketing flim-flam.

There's only one problem: Storrie's presentation is part of the Executive Institute Leadership Summit, which is "open to executive level and CxOs only." If you're lucky enough to be in that demographic, I suggest this is the session to attend above all others.
