Metronet Telecommunications d.d. purchases Vodatel

ZAGREB, Croatia -- Metronet Telecommunications d.d. purchases Vodatel. Share purchase agreement with owners of Vodatel was signed last week after a lengthy due diligence period. Details of the acquisition were expressed at today’s press conference by Igor Paureviæ, CEO of Metronet and Sebastian Popoviæ, CEO and part owner of Vodatel.

Metronet, the leading business broadband provider on the Croatian market, with its second acquisition on the Croatia telecommunication market – January 2007 purchase of Chaos net in Dubrovnik. With the acquisition of Vodatel, Metronet intends to become the leading broadband service provider in Croatia.

Synergies of the existing networks of Metronet and Vodatel and further accelerated development of optical infrastructure in the Zagreb area, Metronet will provide end users the most advanced and best quality of service in Croatia. The Management of Metronet has recognised qualities in Vodatel that have successfully positioned itself as market leader in the provision of triple play services for residential customer with the development of TV, voice and Internet on one invoice. Vodatel now brings added emphasis to the residential segment in which Metronet launched services in May 2007.

Igor Paureviæ, CEO Metronet, states:
