BroadLight Names CEO

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- BroadLight, the leading supplier of GPON semiconductors and software, today announced that Raanan Gewirtzman has been appointed Chief Executive Office (CEO). Raanan succeeds former CEO Andrew Vought, who has resigned after four years of service for personal reasons.

"Andy has performed a valuable service in leading BroadLight to the number one position in the GPON semiconductor supplier market," said Tony Maher, Chairman of the Board for BroadLight. "We appreciate his contributions to the Company and are fortunate that he recruited and groomed Raanan Gewirtzman over the last four years to be his successor."

Raanan joined the company in 2003 and has been responsible for BroadLight's product development and operational excellence. Raanan was elevated to the position of Chief Operating Officer in 2006 and will take over the responsibilities as CEO immediately. During this transition, Andy will remain available to consult with Raanan and the Board of Directors. The entire BroadLight team wishes Andy much success and is thankful for his valuable contributions to the company.
