Allied Joins Alliance

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Allied Telesis, a global provider of secure Ethernet/IP access solutions and an industry leader in the deployment of IP Triple Play networks over copper and fiber infrastructure, today announced it has joined HomePNA (Home Phone Networking Alliance) as one of the alliance’s certified providers.

At the center of the Allied Telesis home networking solution is the iMG intelligent Multiservice Gateway 646 family. The iMG646 is the industry’s first true plug and play WAN (xDSL and FTTx) gateway with integrated HomePNA 3.0 technology. The iMG residential gateway bridges the gap between WAN interfaces and home networking, allowing service provides to rapidly deliver IPTV, voice and data services using existing home wiring.

“As more companies market and deploy triple play services for the home, product interoperability becomes very important,” said Allied Telesis Executive Vice President of Global Marketing & Product Development Philip Yim. “With the addition of our HomePNA solution service providers receive the assurance they can deliver quality IPTV to their customers.”
