SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- BrightLink Networks, a supplier of optical switching systems for the telecommunications industry, today announced the company was granted Network Equipment Building Systems (NEBS) Level 3 certification for the BOSS 1000 optical switching system. The BOSS 1000 is already in testing with two large U.S. carriers, and this certification opens the door for deployment of the switch in live carrier networks. "This achievement is a turning point in our company. We now have all of the regulatory compliances that we need to install the BOSS in our customers networks," said Jake Vigil, chief operating officer at BrightLink. "We believe adding certifications for new features, such as OC-192 capabilities, will be a very straight forward process." BrightLink Networks Inc.
