Boardwatch Insider Kicks Off

Boardwatch Insider has launched, and it's got some big news.

The billing sector may be one of the most underappreciated in all of technology. Yes, some of the leading companies are still grappling with their finances following a tough 18 to 24 months of cost cutting and tumbling share prices. But there may be some gems among them.

Many of the companies in the sector are undervalued, compared with other companies in the telecommunications industry, according to the Insider's inaugural issue. And these leaders look to have finally gotten their financial houses in order.

That spells good news for carriers looking for financially stable billing system suppliers, and offers an enticing opportunity for investors looking for technology companies set to rebound as the markets pick up.

Billing's Big Guns, the first report from Boardwatch's paid subscription research service, includes an overview of the six publicly listed vendors in a market estimated by analysts to be worth anywhere between $6 billion and $10 billion a year.

Get more details on Light Reading's sister site, Boardwatch.

re: Boardwatch Insider Kicks Off Because of different billing policies, it is hard to make an billing system that works both in land line telephone lines and the wireless system. The interaction of the billing system and the operating system is different. The RBOCS can integrate their billing system with wireless network with small difficulty. To standadize the billing systems a middleware has to created and the billing standards need to be reinforced.
