PCCW Global: Blockchain Can Automate Inter-Carrier Connections

Service interconnection is changing, requiring automation on the front end to enable end-to-end connections but also on the back end to handle commercial agreements at scale, says Marc Halbfinger, CEO of PCCW Global. That is where blockchain can come in to facilitate automation by coding contracts so that parameters for settlement and dispute are baked in and can be automated. Halbfinger explains where current demos and deployments are, both in terms of the technology and the governance model.
