BlackBerry Penguin Pitch?

6:05 PM -- Never let it be said that mobile email doesn't pay.

ESPN reports this afternoon that BlackBerry co-CEO Jim Basillie has put together a $175 million bid for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The deal would still require approval by the NHL board of governors, which could be completed this fall.

Basillie, who is said to be a passionate hockey fan, isn't expected to move the Penguins from their home ground.
