The P2P-technology company pulls in a third round of funding

Peer-to-peer (P2P) technology firm BitTorrent Inc. has raised a $17-million Series-C round of financing, according to reports.
According to peHUB, the financing was made public in a recent regulatory filing and came from existing investors Sand Hill Capital , DCM - Doll Capital Management , and Accel Partners . DAG Ventures Management also participated in the round.
Altogether BitTorrent Inc. has raised more than $45 million, including a $20-million Series-B round announced in December 2006. Since then, the company has made a number of executive appointments, including a new CEO, CTO, CFO, VP of product management, and VP of engineering.
