OTTAWA -- OZ Optics Limited, a world leading global supplier of fiber optic products for existing and next-generation optical networks, announces the acquisition of Bitmath Inc., a fabless ASIC manufacturer, for an undisclosed amount. Bitmath Inc., a privately held company located in Fremont, CA., designs, develops, and markets state-of-the-art ASIC solutions for the broadband communications and optical storage markets. Bitmath's expertise is in the development of complex signal processing algorithms and mixed-signal CMOS ASICs for high-speed optical and wireless data communications systems.According to Zee Hakimoglu, Executive VP Business Development for OZ Optics Limited and President of OZ Optics USA, "Bitmath brings to OZ Optics a number of standard products addressing a diverse technology portfolio of complex intellectual property modules.
