YOKOHAMA, Japan -- PALTEK Corporation, a leading silicon and electronic solution supplier in Japan (President; Tadahito Takahashi) announced it has entered into a distribution agreement with BitBlitz Communications Inc. (Headquarters; California, USA, CEO; Ed Rodriguez). The addition of BitBlitz's products will further strengthen PALTEK's ability to provide solutions for the equipment manufacturers to meet the development of network communications equipment, which satisfies the next-generation IEEE standard of 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

With the rapid growth of the Broadband market, terminal devices such as personal computers and game consoles are required to address high-speed and bandwidth demand. As data traffic increases drastically, network equipment such as routers and switches also need to meet this demand. BitBlitz's products enable high-speed transmission and processing of increasing amounts of data traffic while addressing low power requirements.

BitBlitz's quad 8-bit/10-bit parallel-to-serial and serial-to-parallel transceiver device is ideal for high bandwidth interconnection between line cards, serial backplanes, or optical modules. In addition to the high-bandwidth 3.125 Gbps links, the transceiver can be configured as a single 10 Gigabit extended Attachment Unit Interface (XAUI), providing up to 12.5 GBdps of duplex bandwidth.

"Our new distribution partner, PALTEK, will provide us the additional coverage needed to service the expanding semiconductor communications market in Asia Pacific," said Ed Rodriguez, President & CEO of BitBlitz. "We are very pleased to be working with a company that has the experience and quality reputation we demand for our customers."

"The addition of BitBlitz’s products will further strengthen PALTEK's ability to meet the high-speed, low power and bandwidth development needs of our broadband equipment customers and satisfy the next-generation IEEE 10 Gigabit Ethernet standard," said PALTEK Director Masanori Kanamori. "PALTEK has been focusing on application specific integrated circuit such as PLDs and ASSPs for many years, and with superior technical support services and rich experiences in this field, the company strives to provide total solutions to its customers. With the distribution agreement with BitBlitz, we can further expand our ability to provide the solutions to our broadband equipment customers, who are now required to fulfill high-speed and bandwidth demand."
