BETHESDA, Md. -- FiberZone Networks Inc., a provider of Automated Fiber Management (AFM) solutions for the efficient management of the physical fiber optic infrastructure, announced the successful completion of acceptance tests conducted with Bezeq, Israel’s incumbent carrier.

“We are impressed with the reliability and consistency demonstrated by the FiberZone system,” said Michel Hivert, Vice President, Engineering and Networks Division, Bezeq. “We always knew that FiberZone was developing a product uniquely suited to the requirements of fiber management – scalability, low loss, and the ability to maintain connections without power. Having shown outstanding system stability, the FiberZone product has great potential to have an impact on network operations. AFM can play an important role in Bezeq’s efforts to improve the efficiency of operations and reduce costs.”

“Bezeq has been a key strategic relationship for FiberZone since the earliest days of our company,” said Gil Eyal, President and CEO of FiberZone. “Bezeq is one of the world’s most forward-thinking and technically savvy network operators, and FiberZone has benefited greatly from their valuable input on key performance characteristics and system design issues. It is fitting that Bezeq be the first carrier to complete acceptance tests on FiberZone’s first AFM product.”
