12:20 PM -- Reuters reports that NASA broadcast the Beatles' "Across the Universe" across the universe yesterday, the 40th anniversary of the song's recording.
A cute idea, but they might have chosen a better Beatles song. "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" is, I think, more space-worthy. Or "Here Comes the Sun" maybe...
And heads-up, NASA: The 40th anniversary of "Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey" falls on June 27 this year.
