SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Azanda Network Devices, an innovator in the development of silicon products for managing the way traffic is processed in access, edge and core networks, today announced it is establishing a new design facility in India. The company, already a registered business entity in India, will staff silicon verification and software development teams in Bangalore in order to strengthen its development capabilities.

"We're very excited about our expansion into India, which will be our first design center outside Silicon Valley," said Steve Dines, president and CEO of Azanda Network Devices. "Our future product roadmap requires a significant enhancement to our silicon verification and software development resources. Bangalore, India with its large pool of engineering talent is a natural choice for the establishment of an offshore facility."

Azanda's verification team will continue to leverage the synergistic and collaborative design environment created by the close working relationships established between Azanda and the development teams of Azanda's Tier 1 OEM customers, many of whom also maintain facilities in Bangalore.

Recruiting efforts are already underway, with the facility planned to be fully operational by the end of this year. The company, which also maintains sales offices on the East Coast, will continue to add headcount in its Silicon Valley office in support of its burgeoning product development, marketing and sales efforts.
