Axsun Technologies announces Jack Kay as new CEO, replacing founder Dr. Dale Flanders, who will continue as chairman and CTO

BILLERICA, Mass. -- AXSUN Technologies Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of Advanced Photonic Components and Subsystems has announced that Jack Kay has joined the company as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Kay will be taking over as CEO for Company Founder, Dr. Dale Flanders. Dr. Flanders will become the Chief Technology Officer; he retains his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors.Prior to joining AXSUN, Kay was the President and Chief Executive Officer at Hotline Communications, Ltd., a Canadian Internet start-up Company. Prior to joining Hotline, Kay was the President and CEO of Phoenix Technologies (NASDAQ: PTEC) – where he grew company revenues from $24 million to over $100 million and market capitalization from $64MM to $500MM. Prior to Phoenix, Mr. Kay held senior management positions at Banyan Systems and Convergent Technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Wayne State University and an M.B.A. in Marketing from New York University.Flanders stated in the announcement to the Company today, “I am excited to bring Jack to the AXSUN team.
