N. BELLERICA, Mass. -- Avici Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: AVCI) today announced the appointment of Steve Kaufman to the position of chief operating officer and director. Avici also formally announced the appointments of James Graham as vice president of worldwide customer service and support and of Catherine Hapka and James Mongiello to its Board of Directors. The appointments strengthen the operational management structure for the newly public company as it continues to win market acceptance of its Terabit Switch Router (TSR®) in carrier networks worldwide.
