FREMONT, Calif. -- Avanex Corporation (Nasdaq: AVNX), the global provider of photonic processors that enable next generation performance for optical communications networks, will lease an additional 110,000 square feet of manufacturing and headquarters office space in the Fremont area in an effort to keep pace with customer demand, the company announced today. The two new buildings, located in the Stevenson Point Technology Park less than a mile from the Avanex headquarters, are expected to be occupied and operational in the first quarter of calendar year 2001.
