CES Pics: Cars, Drones & Lines, Oh My!

LAS VEGAS -- CES 2015 -- Connected cars took center stage at the massive consumer blowout show in Sin City this week, but there was plenty more to see.

Drones, robots, and commercial virtual reality headsets also made the scene, and much more. Oh yeah, and long walks and long lines... always with the lines! (See CES = MWC x 2.)

A Faster Orange
Connected cars were king at CES this year. There were 10 automakers represented, along with a galaxy of supportive vendors. This orange Maserati, however, was extra-fancy.

"On the Ericsson stand, ride the stationary bike into changing video scenes."

This setup reminds me that video game arcades used to have a game called Prop Cycle..

Autonomous cars! The drumbeat for self-driving cars really seems to be beating continuously these days -- even though the govt regulations for allowing these cars on the roads officially isn't quite ready. I suppose the same can be said for drone companies... but it's interesting to see the tech launches ahead of actual practical commercial usage. It's a cool example of tech leading the policy, instead of policy dictating the tech.
