AT&T Makes Push Into Cloud Storage

By offering cloud hosting, CDN, and now a new cloud storage product, AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) continued its aggressive push into adjacent service areas this week.

With AT&T's new "Synaptic Storage as a Service," the telecom giant will join companies like Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN) and Rackspace by offering an online storage service.

AT&T's cloud storage service will also be sold on a usage-based model, and will enable self-service options for creating and managing accounts.
