8:20 AM -- In the ongoing saga surrounding the potential sale of a stake in Indian operator Reliance Communications Ltd. , French giant Vivendi is the latest name in the frame, with local media reports suggesting that talks have been going on for about a month.

Vivendi, though, says it hasn't engaged in any such discussions, reports Reuters.

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) and Etisalat have also been suggested as interested parties. (See Reliance Lines Up Stake Sale.)
