My first guess would be that Huawei is running out of easy new markets for its telecom stuff. (I'm thinking of "markets" mainly in terms of countries.) Extra incentive to develop an enterprise business.

I wonder how much the huge manpower recruiting they've been doing in the US has affected their numbers.

Galileo: Good point. It could have a noticeable effect on profits, because of who they're hiring (a lot of older, experienced folks, from the sound of it) and where (Silicon Valley - it's not like they're hiring 1 million here, but maintaining and populating that campus won't be optimally cheap.)
