"So what's the deal with Bluetooth?" as Jerry Seinfeld might have asked, if he had been on the ball with emerging wireless technologies a few years back. That might not have got too many laughs, though. So instead, we're asking the questions. Have you used Bluetooth? Do you want it? Do you think it's a WiFi killer, or a big buddy of 802.11? We want to know what you think, which is why we've set up a new poll, Bluetooth: Necessity or Luxury?, to gauge industry feeling. And there are already a few votes cast, with some interesting trends emerging in the results. I timed myself, and it takes less than 25 seconds [ed. note: We'd heard this about you, Ray!], unless you're extremely indecisive. So go on, vote now -- you know it makes sense! — Ray Le Maistre, European Editor, Unstrung

Bluetooth: Necessity or Luxury?

As if you have to chose between these 2 words? What about "convinience"? It makes live easier. It's goodbye to cables.....

Bread and water are a "necessity" everything else you could see as "luxury"!?

To ask "WiFi: Necessity or Luxury?" is BS as well.
