BRISTOL, U.K. -- Apertio today announces a series of senior level hires as it continues its aggressive global expansion to meet customer demand. This series of appointments follows an impressive twelve months, which has seen Apertio pick up four major awards and expand its customer base by 300 percent, including global giants such as T-Mobile and Vodafone.

The telecoms industry faces increasing pressure to reduce CAPEX and OPEX, while at same time delivering additional new services revenue. But, the proprietary-based, siloed nature of conventional core network architectures prevents operators achieving this. Apertio One is an open, software-based, application suite and architecture that simplifies networks by placing the subscriber at its heart, allowing operators to reduce CAPEX and OPEX costs by as much as 50%, and slash new service roll-out time from twelve months to twelve weeks. Demand for Apertio One has grown significantly, and these high profile appointments will enable Apertio to continue its controlled, global expansion.

“These hires are a continuance of our strategy to combine experience in the telecoms industry with the best talent from the enterprise software market, they will be integral to our continuing growth in 2006 and beyond,” said Paul Magelli, Chief Executive Officer, Apertio. “As the industry talks of IMS and new generation services, operators continue to embrace Apertio One, which provides significant cost reductions in today’s fiercely competitive environment, while enabling a simple migration to new generation networks and services. Strengthening the management team will see Apertio even better equipped to support operators in their move to subscriber-centric, IP-ready networks.”
