Vince DeMaioribus promoted, Ken Clark retires

SAN DIEGO -- Applied Micro Circuits Corp. (AMCC)(NASDAQ:AMCC - news), the leader in high-bandwidth silicon connectivity solutions for the world's optical networks, Tuesday announced the promotion of Vince DeMaioribus to vice president of manufacturing. DeMaioribus joined AMCC in November 1998 as operations manager, and has been the director of operations since June 2000. He will succeed Ken Clark, who has announced his retirement and resigned his position as vice president of manufacturing. Clark will remain with the company and serve as a vice president through year-end. DeMaioribus will be reporting directly to President, CEO and Chairman of the board Dave Rickey.
