(Nasdaq:AFOP), a leading supplier of fiber optic components and integrated modules for the optical network equipment market, today announced the appointment of Andy F. Zhou as its senior director of Product Marketing. Andy will have overall responsibility for the product management of the Company as it continues its expansion into global optical networking markets. Mr. Zhou will report directly to David Hubbard, vice president of Sales and Marketing."Andy brings to AFOP over 10 years of significant fiber optics and optics experience and we believe he will make a valuable addition to our marketing team," said Peter Chang, president and chief executive officer of AFOP.In addition, Mr. Wayne O'Connell has joined AFOP as a senior product manager in the marketing group. O'Connell has over 7 years of experience in the fiber optics industry and brings to AFOP a broad knowledge base in the areas of active and passive components.
