An agreement of up to $2.8 million to supply RomTelecom with BroadAccess Multiservice Access Platform

MINNEAPOLIS -- ADC (Nasdaq:ADCT - news, www.adc.com - news), a leading global supplier of fiber optics, network equipment, software and integration services for broadband, multiservice networks, announced today an agreement of up to $2.8 million (Euro 3 million) with RomTelecom, the Romanian telecommunications operator. According to the agreement, ADC will provide RomTelecom with the BroadAccess Multiservice Access Platform for connecting thousands of subscribers, mainly in suburban and rural applications.

"The extensive deployment of BroadAccess in Hellenic Telecommunications Organization's (OTE) network was an important factor in the decision to award this contract to ADC," said Georgios Avlonitis, executive director of Technical Operations for RomTelecom. "Based on our satisfaction with the BroadAccess installations, we are happy to continue and implement these reliable, high-quality systems in RomTelecom's network."
