MINNEAPOLIS -- ADC (Nasdaq:ADCT; www.adc.com) announced today that it has opened a new network equipment test facility in Marietta, Ga. The ADC Network Integration Center is designed to perform proof-of-concept testing for ADC customers and to test the performance of network elements being installed by ADC prior shipment to a customer location.

Chief among the activities at the new Network Integration Center is testing on equipment used for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM). This technology allows for the transmission of multiple electronic signals over a single optical fiber, which can vastly increase capacity without the need for additional fiber. Optical metro transport and metro DWDM help lower operational costs, simplify network architectures and extend their range, and have the ability to help telecommunications carriers generate new revenue by making it easier to add network connections.

"Our Network Integration Center lab is designed to test the latest in telecommunications equipment, and it's part of our commitment to provide the best services possible for all types of network deployments," said Jo Anne Anderson, president of the Systems Integration Business Unit for ADC. "This facility allows us to work closely with network equipment manufacturers and our customers to ensure that new network technologies can be implemented smoothly and efficiently. We're proud of our Network Integration Center and the importance of the work done there."

ADC provides a broad range of integration services to help operators increase the capacity of their networks, more effectively manage their assets and maximize their network infrastructure. More information on ADC's services capabilities can be found at www.adc.com/integration.
