Acme Packet announced that Rob Saloman has been appointed as General Manager, Canada for Acme Packet to lead its Canadian operations

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Acme Packet®, the leader in session border control solutions, today announced that Rob Saloman has been appointed as General Manager, Canada for Acme Packet to lead its Canadian operations. With this launch, Acme Packet is establishing a Canadian sales and service presence in Ottawa, Ontario, the heart of Canada’s “Silicon Valley North” high technology community.

Rob Saloman brings 26 years of telecommunications and Canadian market experience to Acme Packet along with a significant track record of success with both emerging and established companies including Cambrian Systems, Mitel, Newbridge Networks, and Nortel Networks. Mr. Saloman most recently served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Nakina Systems, a network and element management company. Prior to Nakina, Mr. Saloman was Vice President Metro Sales and Market Development at Nortel, VP Canadian Sales at Cambrian Systems, and held various senior sales and marketing roles with Newbridge and Mitel. Mr. Saloman holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from Ryerson University and has served on numerous advisory boards including Sir Sanford Fleming College, BTI Photonics and Meriton Networks.
