3:50 PM -- This MSNBC clip on YouTube has joined U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN)'s greatest hits compilation on that site:

"I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out then under another Democrat President Jimmy Carter," she chirps, with that weird, un-dead look in her eyes. "And I’m not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it is an interesting coincidence."

The various pundits have rightly pointed out that Republican Gerald Ford was president when that swine flu scare occurred, but really... Isn't that kind of beside the point here?

I smell a 2012 White House bid.
