Norway to Auction 3G Licenses

OSLO -- The Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Norwegian Post- and Telecommunications Authority (NPT) hereby invite interested parties to participate in the auction of two 3G licences in Norway.

The deadline for receipt by the NPT of bids is August 29th 2003 at 2 PM local time. Bids will be opened in an open meeting at the NPT September 2nd at 2 PM.

All queries relating to this matter should, until August 22nd, be addressed to NPT by email [email protected]. Questions and answers will be made available on the NPT's Internet home page. The identity of those who have asked the questions will not be divulged.

Those who submit questions should assess and state the reasons for their need, if any, to exempt the question in whole or in part from public access, including the parties' right of access to documents under Norwegian administrative law. The telecommunications authority will decide whether or not the question should wholly or partly be exempted from public access. Questions and answers made public on the NPT`s internet homepage will be considered known to the applicants.
