Deutsche Telekom's 'open RAN' plan slips after Huawei reprieve

SHENZHEN, China –– ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, announced today that the WiMax network it implemented in Bangladesh in cooperation with operator Banglalion has reached 200,000 subscribers.
ZTE is the exclusive networking equipment supplier for Banglalion, and helped the operator complete the implementation of the national Bangladeshi network in the span of only one year. The network supports TDD-LTE evolution and uses the telecoms industry’s most advanced large-capacity BTS 4*8 equipment. Banglaion is Bangladesh’s No.1 WiMax operator.
“We’d like to thank ZTE for its support as the exclusive supplier for Banglalion’s WiMax network. Our customers were pleased by the quality of the network,” said Banglalion CEO Neil Graham.
