FLEET, UK -- Anite, a global leader in testing technology for the wireless industry, and Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, today announced the demonstration of the industry’s first TD-LTE UE protocol conformance test cases. Anite and Huawei have been working together to accelerate the availability of TD-LTE technology for China Mobile’s World Expo launch later this year.
Conformance testing is fundamental to leading-edge technologies, such as TD-LTE, because it ensures that new handsets and data cards provide both the applications and services anticipated by the end user, and delivers the ability to work seamlessly with existing users and networks. Huawei uses Anite’s LTE test solution – which provides a suite of development tools for UE designers – to develop their devices in advance of LTE networks being available. This initial testing helps ensure that these devices meet the industry’s rigorous certification requirements during the earliest stages of their development cycle.
“TD-LTE device testing is essential in ensuring next generation LTE wireless devices meet customer expectations,” said HeTingBo, Huawei. “Our ongoing collaboration with Anite, and their expertise in providing the leading LTE test solutions, brings us a step closer to realising our goal of bringing LTE devices to market successfully.”
